About the Recipe
A fall inspired water infusion to keep you hydrated.
Loaded with antioxidants & vitamin C, your skin will thank you!
Ingredients
32oz Water - Filtered is best but any will work
2 Large Oranges - Any kind will work
1 Cinammon Stick
3 Whole Cloves
1 Large Pomegranate
Sugar to Taste - Optional
Preparation
Slice one and a half of your oranges into thin rounds about 1/2in thick
Take the remaining half of the second orange, peel it and cut it up into small chunks. Place these chunks into the bottom of a large pitcher (big enough to hold 40z of water!)
Peel your pomegrante and place half of the fruit into the pitcher with the chunky oranges. If adding sugar, also put it into the pitcher at this stage
Muddle the pomegranate and orange fruit slightly in the bottom of your pitcher to release some of the juices.
Place the remaining pomegranate seeds, orange slices, cinammon stick and cloves into the pitcher and fill with the water. Stir the mixture slightly to incorporate and place in the frige to chill/infuse for at least 2 hours.
Serve over ice or at room temperature!
Notes
For the oranges, as I mentioned, any kind will work. Try substituing blood oranges for a delicious winter twist!
You do not have to use a pitcher for this recipe, you can make individual portions into single serve bottles but it could create more work and be sligtly more time consuming.
Pomegrantes are notorious for their seed like textre, some don't like the crunch. Cranberries could be a good substitution for those with textural preferences. They are just as tart & tangy as a pomegranate and also provide a great source of antioxidants, allowing you to maintain the benefits too!
